Mind & Body Tone Up
Keeping your mind and body in a healthy state is the best way to
ensuring long-term health and well-being. The purpose of this single CD (1
hour and 11 minutes) is to tone-up your mind and body rather that address a
specific problem. It contains three hypnotic inductions aimed at keeping you
healthy and happy, combined with Baroque music from our orchestra and organ
soloists.
Here's what acclaimed novelist Andrew
Ian Dodge writes on www.blogcritics.org:
David Botsford, a clinical hypno-therapist, has produced a series of CD
audio-books intended to help an individual via self-hypnosis. This particular
one combines baroque music with various techniques for improving one's mind and body. David's dulcet tones both relax and keep you paying
attention throughout this three-part workout. The CD is not meant to be listened to all in one go, at least after the first time, and each work-out can
be used separately at your leisure. While I cannot say whether or not this
is truly effective I can tell you that is a great way to relax and be refreshed
both in mind and body. I certainly felt a difference each time I used this
CD. The last technique (word) Connections, I found most useful for determining one's state of mind. It is rather interesting, if one lets oneself
go, what words one's mind responds with. I found it most effective when used with an iPod while lying down on one's bed. The elimination of
background noise makes concentrating on David's instructions much easier. I have to admit to
skepticism about this product but I plan to use this rather often as a valuable tool in maintaining equilibrium in this bizarre
thing called my life. If you have any interest in self-hypnosis then David's
CD is a great place to start.

Here's what a psychotherapist
and author says:
"I have been skeptical about the value of hypnosis. I know Freud used it, as
did many others in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, but many gave it
up as a regular practice. However, Freud continued to believe in it and did
personal research on hypnosis during his lifetime.
"During the past six months I have become unable to sleep well and found I was obsessing about the ongoing saga of trying to sell a flat. I was
anxious and my brain felt fragmented. I could not concentrate on anything
other than the agonies of the process I was involved in. This was not
rational but I could not get out of it, and I am a therapist who believes in
self-analysis.
"I came across David Botsford's self-hypnosis CD and thought it might be the right time to experiment. Waking up early one morning, while still in
bed, I put the CD in my player with earphones and lay back to see what would happen. It took only a few minutes for David's voice and the Baroque
music to put me in a tranquil state. I listened, or rather let the words and
music wash over me, and before I realized it the CD had finished and I fell
into a deep and delicious sleep for about an hour. I woke up with a smile of
wonder at how I was feeling. Some of the images have stayed with me and come into my mind when I start to let worries overtake me.
"This morning a nagging problem was again disturbing my sleep and I repeated the process. Again I fell into a restful sleep for an hour and woke
refreshed.
"I will continue to keep the CD by my bedside and I am recommending David's self-hypnosis collection to my clients. I am convinced his voice,
words and the Baroque music are beneficial, helping you not only to breathe regularly, thus calming and relaxing your body, but also the self-hypnotic process realigns your fractured brainwaves, allowing you to think
clearly."
